Day 1 of the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo

Today the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo opened in New Jersey and it was 👍👍👍👍👍! I made my way to most of the vendors but I didn’t have enough stomach space to try everything, but that’s why they made it two days! I’ll be back again tomorrow to try all the vendors I missed so don’t worry 🙂 I will also write a longer recap post after day 2 but here  is a quick summary from today.

The Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo took over the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ with hundreds of gluten free vendors. The room is split in half. One side is nut free and the other contains nuts. Almost every vendor is safe for other allergens and many are free of the top 8 allergens.

I tweeted and Instagrammed my top 5 vendors from today BUT there are way more amazing vendors that I will write about in my long blog. Here’s an extended summary of my top 5.

1- Manini’s Gluten Free

Their ravioli is amazing!! You can find it in Whole Foods and it’s on sale this month! When I go back tomorrow I am definitely buying some to take home.IMG_0954.JPG

2- Munk Pack

Munk Pack is an oatmeal fruit snack which is great. I purchased 3 to take home with me. My favorite was the peach and vanilla pack. At work I find myself  hungry around 3 pm and need a quick snack that will fill me until dinner. These are absolutely perfect to take with me! No mess, taste great, and really fill you.

3- Sweet Note Bagel

I featured Sweet Note Bagel (along with Manini’s) on my pre-expo post as a vendor I was excited to see at the expo. Their bagels were 🙌 Their everything bagels lived up to their name!! (Definitely going back to buy some tomorrow)

4-Sugar Flake Bakery

I have no words to describe Sugar Flake Bakery. When we walked up to their booth they told me they were voted as one of the best and boy do I know why. Their cheesecake and rainbow cake deserve ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

5- Delights Gluten Free

This is the gluten free equivalent of a hot pocket. They were so good! My personal favorite was the ham and cheese.
